I'm sure Darla will correct me....
It will be fun to read what they are up to....Even though I am not a parent and do not know first hand what ups & downs, laughter & tears, teachings & fears you all go through...I love my neices & nephews to death...after all who taught me that his favorite song ever to sing in church is..."Kromise"...and that he was so very upset he did not get to go to 'heavens' immediately after church instead of going home......

LanaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5754813035262036348.post-52714152057209260902008-02-14T00:02:00.000-06:002008-02-14T00:02:00.000-06:00Mrs. Wizzle: He learned just like yours did, book...Mrs. Wizzle: He learned just like yours did, books, smarties, and lots of time and, yes, praise. I just did not have the patience to persevere in the past - yes, I will admit this now - for more than a few days. I wanted it sooner! It's only because I was adamant about him not being a FOUR-YEAR-OLD IN DIAPERS (gasp!) that I persisted this time. And, he's still not night trained, but is basically day trained (after six weeks), which shows how stubborn he's been, eh?

And yes, I do not make a good substitute for dad at all, I'll agree.

Thanks for your comments. I think though that it will serve its purpose well. You will have a record of many, many wonderful and not so wonderful moments with your toads. They love it! they will read and read and reread it often. Once you show them where it is that is. Boys tend to be physical roller coaster rides with a little emotions thrown in and girls tend to be emotional roller coaster rides with a little physical stuff thrown in.

My toad was potty trained by 18 months once he could stay dry all night. Smarties, stories, songs, spending lots of time on the side of the tub waiting while he was on the toilet and gobs and scobs of praise did the rest.

Cough, cough! Dads are great places for learning "stuff" but you do gots to let him learn to be a boy and that is one thing moms can't do as well as dads.Mrs. Wizzlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11887886180747765784noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5754813035262036348.post-44258159510378163782008-02-13T00:49:00.000-06:002008-02-13T00:49:00.000-06:00Well, I assume that the second "Laura" comment was...Well, I assume that the second "Laura" comment was actually from Rachel....

Yes, Uncle Dave worries me too, hee, hee. Especially with your second point...since he actually discovered the power of electricity himself when he was about Seth's age.

Lord, what I have I set myself up for?Darlahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07255532553760304422noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5754813035262036348.post-17157645265402975462008-02-13T00:44:00.000-06:002008-02-13T00:44:00.000-06:00Well Aunty Darla do I have some tips for you!1. I cannot wait to hear your stories as I quite frequently share them with friends and co-workers.

As far as the potty training tips...as you well know, my girls were potty trained by the time they were one! So I am not sure what the problem is here...right. Then again, I don't have a boy who asks me if "I peed or pooped in my pull up." Good luck with that, that's all I have to say. jLaurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04830152332595760689noreply@blogger.com
